Ascend · Weight tracking as a fantasy quest

Need help? Email support@bogtsi.xyz. Ascend is made by one person, so replies may take a few days — every message is read.

What Ascend does

Ascend turns weight tracking into a fantasy progression. You log your weight, and that act — showing up — earns XP, levels up your hero, advances your class title, and keeps your streak alive. You pick a class (Knight, Wizard, Hunter, or Rogue), set a goal, and watch a trend line rather than obsessing over a single day's number. Progression is always based on behavior, never on your body shape. Everything you log stays on your iPhone.

Common questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Open iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Ascend and tap Cancel. You keep Ascend Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. If you're on a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends or it converts to a paid subscription automatically. Refund requests also go through Apple — we cannot issue them.

I paid, but Ascend Pro isn't showing up

Open the Ascend Pro screen and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you purchased with, and that you have a working internet connection. If it still doesn't appear, email us with the date of purchase and we'll help.

Apple Health isn't syncing

A few things to check, in order:

This last step matters more than it sounds: for privacy reasons iOS never tells an app whether read access was granted or denied. If reading is off, Ascend simply sees no samples and cannot tell the difference between "you denied it" and "there's nothing in Health yet". So if the sync reports zero samples imported, check that screen first.

Also note that Ascend imports the last 365 days, one value per day, and never overwrites an entry you already have — so re-syncing is safe, but it will not replace numbers you typed yourself.

What exactly does Ascend read from and write to Apple Health?

It reads body mass (weight), and body fat percentage for Pro subscribers, so your existing history and your smart scale's readings show up in Ascend. It writes the weight you log in Ascend back to Apple Health, so your data stays in one place. That's all. Your Health data is never sent off your device by Ascend, never used for advertising, and never sold. See our Privacy Policy.

How do I export my data?

Go to the History screen and tap Export CSV. Ascend builds a CSV of your weight and body-fat entries and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet — from there you can save it to Files, mail it to yourself, or open it in a spreadsheet app. The file isn't sent anywhere by us; where it goes is your choice.

My reminder isn't going off

Check that notifications are enabled for Ascend in iOS Settings → Notifications → Ascend, and that the daily reminder is turned on inside Ascend's Settings. Ascend schedules one repeating daily reminder on your device — turning it on and off again re-schedules it.

Does the app show ads?

No. Ascend does not currently show ads.

How do I delete my data?

Use Clear data in Ascend's Settings, or delete the app. Everything Ascend stores — weight and body-fat entries, your goal, class and focus choices, XP, level, streaks, badges, quests, and settings — lives only on your device, so removing it removes them. Weights already written to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.

Is Ascend medical advice?

No. Ascend is a general wellness and motivation tool, not a medical device, and the numbers it shows are informational estimates. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional about your weight, body composition, or any medical concern. See our Terms of Service.

Bug reports & feedback

Email support@bogtsi.xyz. Your iOS version, device model, and what you were doing when it happened all help. If it's a sync problem, the exact message Ascend showed after Sync now is especially useful.
