Shiver turns cold showers into a graduated challenge instead of a dare. Pick a plan — starting with the free 14-Day Starter — and Shiver runs a big, hands-free timer through each phase of your shower, cueing every change with haptics and a chime so you never have to open your eyes or step out of the spray. Log how each session felt, watch your streak grow, earn badges, and unlock five more plans, full stats, CSV export, and Apple Health sync with Shiver Pro. Everything you log stays on your iPhone.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Open iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Shiver and tap Cancel. You keep Shiver Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. If you're on the annual plan's free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends or it converts to a paid subscription automatically. Refund requests also go through Apple — we cannot issue them.
Open the paywall and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you purchased with, and that you have a working internet connection. If it still doesn't appear, email us with the date of purchase and we'll help.
Free forever: the 14-Day Starter challenge, the in-shower timer with one saved preset, your full session log, streaks, a calendar heatmap, achievement badges, one daily reminder, and all safety and science content. Shiver Pro adds the other five plans (30-Day Full Cold, Contrast Protocol, 11-Minute Week, 90-Day Ice Ladder, The Reset), silent breathing prep before a session, full stats (a weekly cold-minute meter, your mood shift, trends), the ability to log a missed day and repair your streak, CSV export, unlimited timer presets, and optional Apple Health sync (write-only).
Go to your session log and tap Export CSV (Shiver Pro). Shiver builds a CSV of your session history and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet — from there you can save it to Files, mail it to yourself, or open it in a spreadsheet app. The file isn't sent anywhere by us; where it goes is your choice.
Check that notifications are enabled for Shiver in iOS Settings → Notifications → Shiver, and that the daily reminder is turned on inside Shiver's settings. Shiver schedules one repeating daily reminder on your device — turning it on and off again re-schedules it.
Yes — optionally. Shiver Pro has an Apple Health toggle in Settings, off by default. Turn it on and each completed session is written to Apple Health as a "mindful minutes" entry. This is write-only: Shiver never reads any data from Apple Health, and nothing about your Health data is ever sent to us. You can turn the toggle off, or delete individual entries in the Health app, at any time.
No. Shiver does not show ads and contains no advertising SDK.
Use Clear all data in Shiver's settings, or delete the app. Everything Shiver stores — your session log, plan progress, timer presets, and settings — lives only on your device, so removing it removes them.
No. Shiver is a general wellness and habit-timer tool, not a medical device. It includes safety information about the cold-shock response and conditions worth checking with a doctor about first, but that is guidance about when to be cautious, not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional about whether cold exposure is appropriate for you. See our Terms of Service.
