Sugar Free · A 30-day quit-sugar plan, a forgiving tracker, and a free Craving SOS

What Sugar Free does

Sugar Free helps you cut back on added sugar with a 30-day, day-by-day program, a daily check-in (clean day or slip, a 0-10 "food noise" score, and how many cravings you noticed), and Craving SOS — a free breathing-and-urge-surfing tool for the moment a craving hits. Your current streak and total clean days are tracked with a forgiving model: a slip never erases your record, and one unlogged day never breaks a streak. Everything you log stays on your iPhone.

Common questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Open iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Sugar Free and tap Cancel. You keep Sugar Free Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. If you're on the free trial (available on the annual plan), cancel at least 24 hours before it ends or it converts to a paid subscription automatically. Refund requests also go through Apple — we cannot issue them.

I paid, but Sugar Free Pro isn't showing up

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases (or use the same button on the paywall). Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you purchased with, and that you have a working internet connection. If it still doesn't appear, email us with the date of purchase and we'll help.

What does Sugar Free Pro unlock?

Free covers the clean-days tracker, the calendar, daily check-ins, Craving SOS, week one of the 30-day program, a daily reminder, the money-saved estimate, and your journal. Pro adds the rest of the 30-day program (weeks 2-4) plus the 8-week Maintenance track that follows day 30, the food-noise trend chart, trigger insights, one automatic streak-shield save per month, up to four extra reminder times, the full 15-entry body-recovery timeline (the first three entries are always free), Apple Health sync for completed SOS sessions, and the Home Screen widget.

I logged a slip — did I lose my streak?

A slip is logged as a slip. It does not erase your total clean days or your longest-ever run, and if you're a Pro subscriber your one monthly streak shield may automatically keep your current streak alive through a single slip. Sugar Free is built around the idea that a slip is data, not failure.

How do I export my data?

Go to Settings and tap Export my data (JSON). Sugar Free builds a JSON file of your check-ins, SOS logs, journal entries, and program progress, and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet — from there you can save it to Files, mail it to yourself, or open it elsewhere. The file isn't sent anywhere by us; where it goes is your choice.

My reminder isn't going off

Check that notifications are enabled for Sugar Free in iOS Settings → Notifications → Sugar Free, and that reminders are turned on inside the app's Settings. Turning a reminder off and back on re-schedules it.

Does the app show ads?

No. Sugar Free does not show ads and contains no advertising SDK.

Does Sugar Free connect to Apple Health?

Yes, but only one way. If you turn it on in Settings → Apple Health (a Pro feature, off by default), Sugar Free writes your completed Craving SOS sessions to the Health app as Mindful Minutes. It never reads anything back from Health — no data is imported, and nothing is sent to us. Turn the toggle off any time to stop future writes, or manage the app's Health access directly in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Sugar Free.

How does the Home Screen widget work?

Long-press your Home Screen, tap the + button, and search for Sugar Free to add the "Clean Days" widget. It shows your current streak (and, on the larger size, days to your next milestone) and updates automatically as you check in. It's read-only — there's nothing to tap — and, like the toggle above, is a Pro feature. All of it stays on your device; nothing about your streak is sent anywhere because of the widget.

How do I delete my data?

Use Start over in Settings, or delete the app. Everything Sugar Free stores — check-ins, SOS logs, journal entries, program progress, and settings — lives only on your device, so removing it removes them.

Is Sugar Free medical advice?

No. Sugar Free is a general habit and wellness tool, not a medical device, and it never counts calories or tracks your weight. If you have a medical condition, including diabetes, or a history of disordered eating, please talk to a qualified healthcare professional about the right approach for you. See our Terms of Service.
