Chervil flags fields it could not confidently parse and lets you edit everything before saving. If a site imports badly or not at all, email the link — real examples are the fastest way to make the importer better. Meanwhile, the paste-text import (copy the recipe text, paste it in the Import sheet) works on almost anything.
Settings → Export. It produces a machine-readable backup file and a human-readable Markdown file of every recipe, and hands both to the share sheet. Export is free on every tier, always. The backup file can be imported back into Chervil on another device.
Timer alerts use notifications — check Settings → Notifications → Chervil is allowed. The countdowns inside cook mode run regardless.
Settings → the Pro row → Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID that bought Pro. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your App Store account settings; refunds are handled by Apple.
Nothing is deleted, ever. Pro features (unlimited recipes, week planner, multi-recipe shopping list) pause; everything you created stays readable and exportable.
